Demographics

You’ll discover Geneseo just off Interstate 80 and minutes from I-74 and I-88. Three major interstates in one location! Eleven major Midwest cities are located within 250 miles of Geneseo – including Chicago less than 150 miles away.

The city is conveniently located just 20 minutes by interstate highway to the Quad City International Airport who serves travelers throughout Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois with dozens of daily departures. There are currently four airlines serving 11 nonstop hubs, or connecting cities, with hundreds of domestic and international connections beyond. Airlines are: American Eagle, Allegiant, Delta AirLines, and United. Cities served are: Atlanta, Chicago O’Hare, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Denver, Detroit, Las Vegas, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Orlando-Sanford, Phoenix-Mesa and St. Petersburg/Clearwater, and Ft. Myers area via Punta Gorda. The Quad City International Airport is operated by the Metropolitan Airport Authority of Rock Island County, IL.

Geneseo is also served by eight interstate freight carriers, by the Iowa Interstate Railroad, and is located just 20 miles from the Mississippi River.
